Encouraging Words – Improve Interpersonal Skills through Encouragement

Encouraging WordsYou know what my hobby is?  I love to sit in a circle of women and notice and acknowledge all the beauty and light within them.  I love to share with them all that I see and watch their inner light spread and shine a little brighter as I reflect their true self back to them.  It’s no joke.  This may just be my favorite pastime.

“You have it easily in your power to increase the sum total of this world’s happiness now. How? By giving a few words of sincere appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged. Perhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime.”  Dale Carnegie

As adults we can sometimes fall into a competitive spirit.  Oh the awful gossip I sometimes hear come out of the mouths of others.  That’s bad stuff that gossip and it can do a lot of damage.

“Those who are lifting the world upward and onward are those who encourage more than criticize.”  Elizabeth Harrison

It can be really difficult as an adult to receive the acknowledgement and encouragement we need to keep putting one foot in front of the other towards our dreams or our goals.  In my latest YouTube video, I tell the story of watching a teacher encouraging his students so effectively during a recent elementary track and field day.  We need to encourage each other and work on our interpersonal skills to begin building a more loving, supportive community.

“Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you.”  T.A. Barron
